An independent, New Zealand owned company supplying products to the construction and concrete industry for over 55 years. Fraser Brown & Stratmore Limited sells a wide range of products both manufactured in New Zealand at our Naenae plant and also from overseas from a variety of manufacturers. We supply throughout New Zealand, with distributors in Auckland Hawkes Bay and Christchurch, as well as exporting to overseas destinations. We also have a branch in Nelson servicing the top and West coast of the South Island. OUR PRODUCTSFraser Brown & Stratmore Limited is a provider of epoxy materials for repair, concrete fabrication, concrete protection, joint sealing and encapsulation. We are also proud to be suppliers of silicone waterproofing systems to many of New Zealand’s heritage buildings. Utilising the latest in overseas research and raw materials, Fraser Brown & Stratmore Limited manufactures solvent and water based water repellents for a wide range of building materials. In addition, we provide products for all levels of concrete work from the home handyman to New Zealand’s largest construction companies. We also manufacture other miscellaneous type products such as roadmarker adhesive, paint stripper, floor protection coatings, etc. Fraser Brown & Stratmore Limited also undertakes contract manufacturing and packaging of products including paint, brake fluid, grease, solvents, etc. QUALITYAll our products are manufactured and supplied under a TELARC registered ISO 9001:2008 Quality Assurance system. BACKGROUNDFraser Brown & Stratmore Ltd., was formed in 1951 by the two partners, importing Seelastic and other products from Expandite England. At the same time silicones and waterproofing coatings were imported from France. By 1958 it became necessary to manufacture Expandite products and a factory was constructed in Wingate for Expandite products only. The silicone and waterproofing materials developed until an independent factory was constructed in 1962 being managed by John Stratmore. Vinyl flooring, silicones, Aquella (waterproofing material), automotive adhesives, etc., were manufactured. In 1964 the Expandite interest was sold out to Castrol who had bought the parent company in England. In 1987, Fraser Brown & Stratmore had outgrown the original factory and moved to new premises in Rata Street, Naenae. In June 1994, Hamish Stratmore joined the company as General Manager and Jeremy Mallender (B.Sc.) joined in September as Sales Manager. In 1995, Fibermesh appointed Fraser Brown & Stratmore Ltd as their New Zealand Distributor. By 1997, Fibermesh was established as the most specified and used synthetic fibre in New Zealand. Also in 1995, W.R. Meadows’ appoints Fraser Brown & Stratmore Limited their New Zealand distributor. In February 1997, our ISO 9002 Quality Management System was accredited with Telarc New Zealand. In 2002, Fraser Brown & Stratmore Limited was appointed the NZ distributor for Forta Ferro structural fibres and for Kryton International’s Krystol waterproofing products. In 2005, Fraser Brown & Stratmore Limited celebrates 50 years in business. In 2006, Jeremy left with Craig Meiklejohn replacing him. In 2007, Gabriela Regan joined as Product Specification Specialist, working with consultants, specifiers, architects, engineers and end users. In September 2008, Rob Willems joined as our South Island Sales Development Representative. Dr Demetri Christoforou joined the company in late 2009 as Product Development & Technical Manager. In June 2010, the FB&S Nelson branch was opened to service the Nelson, Blenheim, Picton and West Coast regions.
LOCATIONFraser Brown & Stratmore’s manufacturing facility and head office, is located at 185 Rata Street Naenae, Lower Hutt Wellington New Zealand.
The factory covers approximately 2300 square metres and has good manufacturing workspace. The factory is well equipped to allow for planned future expansion. The Naenae location offers ease of access to vehicles and efficient transport of goods to all New Zealand and overseas destinations. |
